While a professional photographer catches all the major moments of the day, this is focused mostly on the bride and groom.
But as weddings are designed to be a celebration with family and friends, it is important to have photographic evidence of their attendance.
There are several secondary photo-systems that allow guests to capture their own special moments and leave their mark on the wedding day memories.
Photo booth:
Increasing in popularity at weddings, the photo booth entertains guests while capturing lasting memories. While this option can be costly, there are many benefits. At the end of the night your guests will walk away with their own copies of the photos and you will have a USB with the entire night’s pictures. Inhibitions are typically lost in photo booths, so be sure to grab the popcorn when you look through them.
Polaroid:
Leaving a polaroid camera or two on each table at the reception is a unique way of taking and printing instant photos. Usually a photo book is left somewhere prominent at the wedding, for their guests to paste their image in alongside a message. Polaroid film can be costly, so make sure your friends are use the photo book and are not taking all the photographs home. This form of photography allows unique memories to be captured and cherished for years to come.
Disposable camera:
There is nothing more nostalgic than winding the dial on a plastic disposable camera. Place a couple of these cameras on each table for guests to capture their perspective of the wedding. At the end of the night collect up all the cameras and take them to be developed. There will be many shared moments between loved ones that have been captured, which would not otherwise be documented.
