Beginning with a surprise proposal during a romantic photo shoot, Aimee Howarth and Steven Goodwin’s wedding was sure to be full of wonderfully unique moments. The pair exchanged vows in a traditional church service but let their creativity shine with inventive styling and surprising choreography in a night their family and friends would never forget.
Creative first dance
An avid dance, Aimee convinced Steven to learn a choreographed tap dance for the two to surprise their guests with at their first dance together. “We learnt a choreographed dance to the music of It’s not unusual by Tom Jones,” Aimee said. “All of our guests loved the surprise and everybody was getting involved by cheering and laughing for the entire song. Steven was quite good in the end and it was great that it was kept such a good secret.”
Unforgettable moments
\Many memories were made on Aimee and Steven’s wedding day, however there was one specific moment from the ceremony that Steven said he would treasure forever. “The most memorable part of our wedding day was seeing Aimee in her beautiful bridal gown. She looked absolutely stunning and I will never forget that moment,” Steven said.
Capturing the proposal
Aimee and Steven have the unique opportunity to look back on the exact moment Steven proposed due to his surprise proposal idea. He told Aimee he had won a voucher for a photo shoot with Shepparton photographer Lisa Nardella. Aimee said she wasn’t expecting the proposal; one minute they were posing for photographs, and the next he was down on one knee proposing. “It’s been lovely to look back on, it has told our story all the way along now,” Aimee said.
Tasteful favours
Edible place cards were just one of the ways Aimee and Steven let their creativity shine during their reception at Olivehouse Event and Function Venue, Kialla West. “Our bonbonniere and guest names were chocolate bars with the same design used for our invitations, supplied by Zain’s Party Creations,” Aimee said. “The guests really enjoyed it... they thought it was something a bit special.”
