Amid the excitement of becoming engaged, many brides get carried away showcasing their sparkly ring to family and friends. However, before the fun of wedding planning can truly begin – there is a serious matter that must be dealt with. The guest list.
Finalising the guest list is an often difficult task, but setting it in the beginning will help couples in their organization. For example, without knowing how many people will be invited to the wedding it is almost impossible to select the venue for the service and for the reception, and to finalise the catering, invitations, place cards, seating plan, bonbonnieres, etc.
Allow for at least a 10 per cent leeway with numbers: to account for people who cannot make it, for new friends made, or the plus ones which may be requested along the way.
So before becoming carried away with excitement; grab a pen and paper, sit down with your fiancé, set a guest list number and decide on a list.
