Staying true to their rural roots, Jane Davis and Andrew Ross contrasted their traditional church ceremony with a lively, rustic-styled reception.
The couple were married in front of their family and friends in the Nathalia Uniting Church on Saturday, April 2.
Jane and Andrew held their reception in Jane’s brother’s machinery shed, transforming it into a rustic country space full of references to their family, friends and life on the land.
The shed’s walls were lined with hessian fabric, while bunting with lanterns and fairy lights were hung from the ceiling.
White tables and chairs kept the space bright, and these were decorated with hessian table runners, lace trimmings and beautiful flowers in a high-tea styled display.
There was also a hint of the couple’s rural background with hay bales and wheat from their family’s farms.
The couple also baked short-bread wedding favours in the shapes of utes, tractors and hammers for their male guests.
"We had family friends’ children draw pictures of Andrew and I, which we displayed in photo fames on the shed walls," Jane said.
Hand-drawn art was the final touch to the couple’s reception styling.
